I received this unit a week ago. It was shipped promptly and arrived in a timely manner. I bought it for emergency outages, in my area, which haven't happened yet, so we'll have to see how it performs if the power goes out for more than a day.
I did a ton of research on small power stations and the LiFePO4 battery, the accompanying 60w solar panel and the reasonable pricing of this Daran Neo300L were all factors in my decision to buy this power station over others.
I tested this unit, and it works beautifully so far. It came with an 80% charge, and according to the guidelines on the unit and the user manual, (which I had to download from the website), the power must be charged to 100%, then drained to zero, then charged to 100% to calibrate the batteries.
So, I first charged to 100%. Then drained the battery by using the A/C plug in (sorry, I don't know the jargon), with my MacBook air over a couple of days. I was able to charge my laptop approx. 2.88 times before the battery drained to zero.
I let the unit rest, per instructions. I then charged up the power station's battery to 100% via my home wall outlet, which took about 3.5 hours. Again, let it rest. I noticed that the fan runs full time while charging the battery. The fan runs intermittently when your devices are plugged into it. It's definitely audible, but not bad.
Then I plugged my AC cable into the power station again to charge my MacBook Air. It took about 1.5 hours to charge the laptop from 17% to 100%, draining the power station from 100% to 77%. I was using the MacBook while charging. I think that's pretty good. I charged my iPhone from 16% to 100%, which only drained 3% from the power station.
I feel more confident having this sturdy little power station as an emergency backup for my small devices, perhaps my router for 2 or 3 days, a couple of hours each day/night if the power is cut off in the region, due to weather/high winds.
I bought this with the 60w solar panel, included in the package, which I haven't tried out yet.
The quality of the power station and solar panels seems very solid. So far, this Daran portable power station seems to meet my expectations and I'm very happy with my purchase.
